Simuzo 0.9.8

We are excited to release the new version v0.9.8 of Simuzo.

The following are the list of features, improvements and bug fixes:

[Feature] Full MySQL Governor stack for stock MySQL and MariaDB — no performance_schema and no patched database packages required. An audit plugin feed tracks live connections and the governor daemon applies per-user limits via cgroups (CPU windows, optional IO, connection caps). Modes: off, abusers, all, and single; progressive restriction ladder; slow-query kill; ignore lists; and rebuildable database user map.

[Feature] MySQL Governor Admin UI with Live Monitoring, Restricted users, Database User Map, and Settings. CLI support via simuzo mysql-governor (list, top, mode, set, restrict, status, feed-test, and more). Prebuilt plugins for MySQL 8.0 / 8.4 and MariaDB 10.6 / 10.11 / 11.4.

[Feature] SecureLinks kernel module for CloudLinux-style symlink protection. Enforcement is kernel-only (no LD_PRELOAD open hooks). Prebuilt modules can be downloaded for the running kernel, with local build fallback when kernel-devel is available. Manage with simuzo --securelinks status|download|build|load|unload|enable|disable|apply.

[Feature] Expanded DirectAdmin integration, including panel/softpanel support and admin, reseller, and user icons for embedding Simuzo in the DirectAdmin UI. Related cPanel and Webuzo softpanel updates in the same release.

[Feature] Richer Podman Manager for end users: Compose Editor (YAML deploy with validation and security checks), application catalog, container registry management, and persistent volumes.

[Improvement] SimuzoFS memory scaling — dynamic user tables replace fixed-size arrays in PAM, preload libraries, config-cache, and procmon. Shared memory and process memory now grow with the real user count instead of pre-allocating multi-megabyte tables, improving suitability for large multi-tenant servers.

[Improvement] SimuzoFS jail mount and privacy handling hardened (correct jail-local binds, self-bind order, privacy data not visible inside the user jail). Existing hosts may need a jail rebuild/remount after upgrade.

[Improvement] Package IOPS limits are now applied on cgroup v2 io.max (riops / wiops) from disk read/write settings, in addition to bandwidth limits.

[Improvement] Admin Users, Statistics, cgroup reload, and related CLI tooling refined to support governor and resource-limit workflows. Core binaries rebuilt (PAM module, preload libraries, procmon, config-cache).

If you have a Softaculous license, you can install and try Simuzo on supported control panels.
